Kids don't cross where you want them to cross, that's why the parents are concerned. As a teacher I know.

It doesn't matter where the kids are from, all kids deserve to have a safe walk to school and believe me there's a great deal of problems like this at many schools in Ottawa because the City doesn't give a rats ass about where or how they intensify around schools. While the OCDSB sits back and does nothing.

This is as true in my community, where the City allowed a Shoppers Drugmart to set up shop right across a major artery (Greenbank Rd.) from a K-8 PS, as it is elsewhere.

When children don't get the time of day from politicians, its a sure sign our priorities are out of whack.
