I am an entrepreneur, communications professional, school teacher and community activist living in Ottawa, Ontario. I am also a hockey goaltender, political hack and most importantly, an advocate for grassroots, participatory democracy at all levels of government. With the launch of Unpublished Ottawa, I am following my dream to become a web publisher. Before becoming a teacher, I worked in the private sector for 15 years in sales, marketing and communications in the IT, media and political sectors. In 2010, I ran for Ottawa City Council in Ward 9: Knoxdale-Merivale finishing second out of ten candidates. I hold two degrees, an Honors BA from Trent University and a B.Ed from Windsor University, as well as a graduate level Diploma in Communications from Concordia University in Montreal.
