About the author

The Network for Human Rights, Equality and Social Justice is a bilingual (English & French) network for research, networking, information sharing and advocacy on issues relating to human rights, equality and social justice in Canada and around the world. The Network includes human rights, equality and social justice activists, advocates, supporters and friends. Members come from all around the world, are from various backgrounds and walks of life.

Human rights violations matter, wherever they occur. The NETWORK helps shine the light on them so pressure will be exerted to stop them.

The NETWORK
- reports news as it develops, not just when it becomes a crisis
- features voices that others do not value
- includes perspectives that others miss
- encourages members, supporters and allies to contribute news, comments and debate ideas and work together on mobilization campaigns and joint actions.

Nakba” (Arabic: النكبة‎, al-Nakbah, literally "disaster" or "catastrophe") refers to events in 1947-1948, when more than 750,000 Palestinians were forced out of their homes and more than 400 villages were destroyed. The “temporary” expulsion is 70 years old this year. Please join us as we stand in solidarity with those who lost their homes, their villages and their people displaced in the Arab diaspora.
