A group of doctors are claiming that Canada’s cancer screening guidelines are out-of-date. They take it one step further in their latest report, suggesting that these measures are also putting people at greater risk. Kristy Cameron chats with Dr. Martin Yaffe, a member of the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research and the Co-Director of its Imaging Research Program. Plus, we are joined alongside CTV’s Patricia Boal in the homestretch of Hour 4. A school bus in Russell has collided with a transport truck, with kids on board the bus when it happened. Injuries have been reported and kids are being transported to CHEO.
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is warning Conservatives to back down from attempts to block pharmacare legislation, as the House of Commons prepares to vote on the bill for the first time.The legislation is a central condition of the NDP’s political pact with the governing Liberals, and includes a program to cover select contraceptive and diabetes medications and supplies.
