Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Fri. April 19th, 2024

April 19, 2024
In a case of déjà vu, we have another stunning stat that highlights a series of problematic automotive thefts in Canada’s Capital. According to the latest batch of data, 5 vehicles are being stolen from Ottawa driveways every single day. As of New Year’s Day, we are up to 560 vehicle thefts in 2024, and we are not even four months deep. We speak to Councillor David Brown, who represents the sixth-highest number of victims. On the lighter side of things, if you are planning to adopt a cat aged 6-and-over, you will no longer have to pay an adoption fee at the Ottawa Humane Society.
