The Green Party is committed to putting efficiency and conservation first.

The Green Party challenges the Liberal government to put forward legislation immediately to help homeowners, businesses and tenants finance energy efficient building retrofits. Ontario needs policies that help people save money by saving energy now, not when it is politically opportunistic for the government. Mike - What stands out in the video is your comment about how Ontario could save over 1 billion dollars per year if it imported hydro power - a renewable source of energy - from Quebec rather than spending public funds on the refurbishing of outdated nuclear facilities.

I'm also encouraged by your sense that the Liberal government is starting to look to the Greens' plan for conservation, energy efficiencies and ongoing investment in renewable energy.
