It is a beautiful area and we are in a climate emergency

Dear Mr McGuinty and staff CBC Ottawa is reporting that the BMW car dealership wants to pave over forest on Ottawa International Airport. I am looking for your leadership to stop this from happening. The BMW dealership should have thought of that before they expanded their facility in the last few years. You know that trees create oxygen for us to breathe and your government claims to be defenders of the environment. You will urge your colleagues ministries this is unacceptable. I'm looking forward to your answer. Sincerely John Redins

Letter Response

Dear Mr. Redins, Thank you for your email regarding the red pine Hunt Club Forest. We regret the delay in responding to your message. Mr. McGuinty has been seized with this matter since it first came to his attention. He has been very actively working with the City of Ottawa, the Ottawa Airport Authority, and Transport Canada. While we hope to have a further update for you soon, please know that this is a priority for Mr. McGuinty, and he continues to work on this on behalf of the community. Sincerely, Office of Hon. David McGuinty, P.C., M.P., Ottawa South
