Subject: How can the Green Party and the NDP work together to bring about change?

Dear progressive Canadians, especially those living in Ottawa,

You are invited to attend a panel discussion on the merits of the federal Green Party and NDP working together to facilitate change. The panel discussion features former Green Party leader Elizabeth May;  Alex Cullen, former Ottawa City Councillor and NDP MPP; NDP community and indigenous activist Candyrose Freeman and former Ottawa-Centre Green Party candidate and community activist Angela Keller-Herzog. The event is being hosted by Clive Doucet.

The idea for this event developed out of Clive Doucet's experience in the 2019 federal election. Clive believes a single Green-NDP candidate could have won in Cape Breton--Canso because a real progressive alternative to the Liberals would have eliminated strategic voting. Had the Green Party and the NDP held our vote on election day, the coalition candidate would have received 33-35% of the popular vote in Clive's riding, winning a 3-way race.

Clive believes the Green Party and the NDP must find ways to work together for the common good. Saturday’s panel discussion will tackle the question of how we begin.

This event is open to the public and is free to attend. If you are unable to attend, you can still participate as the panel discussion will be live streamed online at: https://www.facebook.com/events/2498649327041326/

This is a ground-breaking event in Canadian politics, so we hope you will take the time this Saturday evening to participate in what will surely be a very interesting discussion.
