It is said that repeating the same thing over again and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity.

So, having been caught red-handed in harassing the former Attorney General Judy Wilson-Raybould for not protecting Liberal-friendly firm SNC Lavalin against criminal charges, the Prime Minister’s Office and other Liberals proceeded to further harass Wilson-Raybould with public personal smears.  The smears culminated with her expulsion from the Liberal Party, along with Jane Philpott.  What is sane about that?

Rather than address the substance of the allegation that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attempted to undermine prosecutorial independence, Liberal partisans have desperately framed that criticism as self-serving disloyalty.  They say that Wilson-Raybould’s undeclared recording of a conversation with a public servant was unethical - never mind that her recording proved that the same public servant was conveying a harassing tone from Trudeau.  Never mind that Trudeau’s office is the only one surrounded with multiple resignations in the wake of the controversy.

Part of the sensation has been that a self-proclaimed “feminist” Prime Minister has behaved like a sore alpha-male who cannot be wrong while the strong women cannot be right.  If Liberals keep shutting down criticisms of the Prime Minister’s treatment of Liberal women, then Trudeau will surely see more disappointed Canadian women turning their backs on him.
