The Ice Storm of 1998 was a tough time but our communities pulled together and made it through. It is truly something we should remember and celebrate.

Almost 20yrs ago, we were shifted into a cold icy wonderland referred to as Ice Storm '98. Our communities came together and so we shall again. Next month I am hosting an Ice Storm 20th anniversary celebratory weekend. It is open to all and any fees are minimal (fees are just to help cover rental/insurance/food costs). Plan to join us in one of the harder hit wards of the City.  We will have a Trivia Night with Connie Johnston and a fundraising silent auction on Thursday, family movie night and social time on Friday, a vendor sale, outdoor activities, bonfire with Ottawa Fire Services, the Boom Street Team will be onsite, a chili dinner, and age of majrity dance on Saturday, breakfast and Ecumenical Church Service on Sunday. More events are coming and will be posted on facebook as confirmed. For details follow    or you can email
