Canadians being misled into politically dangerous actions in Eastern Furope

President Poroshenko will be greeted as a valiant warrior who must be aided still more in his fight "to 'blunt Russian expansionism' in the region. '."

To-day "Ukrainian MPs passed a controversial law on Tuesday handing self-rule and an amnesty to pro-Russian separatists in parts of the rebellious east of the country."

This law "proposed by Petro Poroshenko, Ukraine's president, was pushed through in a closed session"  places his regime in danger from those who overthrew his predecessor on February22nd,  form the ``paranilitary fighters``battalions who were the cutting edge of attacks on the rebellious east which now have been granted that which were their primary aims.

Whether this action by the President by those whose beliefs it opposes and who have suffered losses in war will be accepted is to be yet determined. The article below from the offers insight as to reactions.
